The Gap

No we aren't having a sale on jeans.

This is referring to the gap of knowledge we experience. Some say that religion fills the gap of the things we don't understand. How do atheists fill this gap?

I can't speak for all atheists, nor do I expect there to be a single, common answer.

For myself, however, I can honestly say I've spent a lifetime (and plan to continue) trying to learn what I can.

And I think I can also say that I've learned to accept that there are things that I can't know, and to be comfortable with that.
