Agnosticism

I personally beleive we are essentially all agnostic. Theist or non-theist I'd argue that no-one knows with certainty.

What do you think?

I agree. And on some levels, I might even suggest that we don't (or can't) know at all.

I agree that we don't know for sure, but I don't know if everyone could be classified an agnostic. Many people have very deep beliefs in God.

I think this is a very profound statement and the only thing that I would like to add is that there are many people who enjoy the ability/inability to choose how exactly close/distant they want to get to GOD.

Agnostic by definition means believing. I believe with certainty in the Bible and Jesus and that it is possible to know God. Therefore I am not agnostic. Its irregardless if I'm right or not.

I don't agree. I am a firm believer in God. There is no uncertainty in my mind about it.

People can think that they know what god is, but in reality we can't know anything for certain.

I have to agree with watcher...I believe strongly in my beliefs in God and am very connected to my faith...but to try to say I know God...well that IMPO would put me on a plain that I don't qualify for because I am but a forgiven sinner and my beliefs don't make me sinless enough to say I KNOW God. I know of Him and what He expects of me through Jesus Christ the Lord...but other than that we are all on a sinful basis with God and to Know Him,really know Him we'd have to be without sin and only one has ever been such to walk the earth and I'm definatley not that good of a person.

I do have to say as far as the term agnostic goes I think everyone believes in something whether it's right or wrong isn't for us to say and we must look at our own lives before someone elses because we are no better than most who have strong beliefs in their own diety.

Agnosticism pertains to knowledge and not belief. You can believe with fervour but still understand that the supernatural is unknowable.

Before we jump to conclusions, I think a definition would be helpful.

I don't believe it impossible to know whether or not there is a God, and I am not skeptical about the existence of God, so I am not agnostic. The fact that I can or cannot prove to your satisfaction that God does exist is not relevant with regards to classifying me as an agnostic or not.
