The Creation Museum

Quote:

The controversial Creation Museum is scheduled to open May 28 in Boone County. Do you think the establishment of this museum will be good for Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, and will you go to it?

Evolution is a "theory" like gravity is a "theory". Both are supported by scientific fact. I don't understand why creationists cannot see the hand of God in the evolutionary process. In my opinion, it's even more miraculous than the literal biblical version of the creation. No, I won't be patronizing the museum. I can see God's work in my back yard, and it's free.

I am sure it will be a major attraction for Northern Kentucky; church groups coming in busloads just like schoolbus loads coming to the Aquarium. Personally, I won't visit. I can find out all I need to know about the Creation, from the Bible. I don't need a slant to the story.

I can't wait to see Moses riding the dinosaurs. *cough*

--Dave Storm, Anderson, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 - 11:03:00 AM
Yes, I think it is a great thing and can't wait till it opens. I am so tired of having evolution pushed on me and having to just over look it. This will be something my family will share as this is what we believe in. The literal creation of the world by God the Father in 6 days. I hope and pray that many others will visit and it will open their mind to thinking and revisiting the creation vs. evolution. Even if they just visit out of curosity, it may broaden peoples thinking and cause them to research it for themselves. Thank you for allowing us to make comments.

The interest in the Creation Museum is worldwide. I cannot wait to go with my kids.

--Kaye Fish, Walton, KY, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 - 8:19:00 AM
Yes, the Creation Museum will be good for the greater Cincinnati area. I laugh a the left and those that want to shut down the Creation Museum and put it out of business. They can't the Creation Museum is privately funded no tax payer's dollar's. For those that don't like the Creation Museum there is nothing making you have anything to do with the museum. So if you don't like it don't have anything to do with the museum. So back off.

Amzing creativity

It always astounds me the energy, time, and (obviously) money that fundamentalist Christaisn will spend trying to "proove" their mythology to be literally true....

There is something in this (and similar endeavours, like building replica Noah's Arks, etc) of the little kid who sticks his fingers in his ears and hums rerally loudly when someone tries to tell him something he doesn;t want to hear; it's seriously juveline.

But, at the same time, it isn't unaware of the criticism and arguments made against Creationism. And that requires a certain awareness and detachment.

So, at the end of the day, I am left scratching my head.

Well the problem I think is that children may be led to give it credibility because of the elaborate displays and so on... and American children are having enough trouble with the sciences when compared to their peers in other countries.

I heard of an ISKCON musuem of sorts in India that would probably be comparable to it...

When I visited Salt Lake City Utah around the Temple precincts they also have a museum that shows how the lost tribes iof Israel found their way to America...

The Rosicrucians have an Egyptian museum in San Jose, CA.

Roswell N.M. has a UFO "museum".

So I suppose the idea of having a museum like this is not that uncommon... Maybe for the simply curious and as a tourist it might be sort of interesting but just as a curiosity...

How about a museum that presents all the theories? Or how about this: a This-World-Is-An-Illusion Museum? :-D

(I think I spent too much time reading TC's bumper stickers!!!)

Complete and utter nonsense. But what the heck, Madame Tussaud's got her wax museum, and Ripley has them all over the place.

I am, I'm afraid, unshakeably convinced that the U.S. is already beginning to lose its preeminence in the science world because you cannot turn someone who believes that sort of nonsense into a person who can graduate from a real university science program. That won't do anybody any good.
