Being With The Mystery

Quote:
Christian, Jew, Muslim, shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the mystery, unique and not to be judged.
Rumi, Sufi Poet and Mystic

What is being with the mystery? Any thoughts on this?

Being with the mystery to me means to loose myself in beingness. This beingness can take on many forms and can not be judge as up or down, good or bad, beingness is always perfect in being.

Yes, everything does have its own kinda mystery. Each religion has its own kinda mysteriousness, that draws people to it, and keeps them in its depthness of belonging. Each object, stone, ground, mountain, river, has their own mysteriousness as some people are drawn to them for many different reasons, and everyone just naturally accept them as part of life.

When I was younger I used to seek ou the answers for things. Now I wait for them to come to me, If they are meant to come to me, they will. Because if I frantically search for the answers and am not meant to find them I only waste my time searching for false answers for myself--maybe someone elses answers...

For me, being with the mystery means being able to discover the truth. And the truth is different for each person. We need to discover who we are first, which is one mystery. Then we can discover life around us, which is a second mystery. Then we can discover Diety, which is the third mystery and what every religion tries to show us.

Sometimes I hate living in the mystery (like when I think I'll never get to the answer) and sometimes it's pure joy waiting for the next question and the next discovery. This reminded me of a couple of quotes I fell in love with long ago:

Quote:
If you can be in revolt while you are young, and as you grow older keep your discontent alive with the vitality of joy and great affection, then that flame of discontent will have an extraordinary significance because it will build, it will create, it will bring new things into being.
Krishnamurti

Quote:
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.
Rainer Maria Rilke
