Well, gratitude doesn't cost anything but modesty for me prevails.
If I could create such a thing with my current level of thinking I think a simple ' thank you' would suffice. I don't think I would create the Universe for Universal gratitude and worship all the time. My premise would be to create something nice...and that's all.....and that's what I have to say about that. ![]()

Worshipped, not necessarily. But being thanked would let me know that I'm appreciated, which is always nice to know. I think that my main concern would be that my children were doing what I knew was best for them. |

When I think of this question I always think of the concept of simplicity and humility versus arrogance and egotism. When I look at what some religions teach, it is usually that humility is the way to go. But if you look at the gods they worship, they are usually arrogant and extremely egotistical. This goes for some pagan gods as well, not just yahweh. However, when I read about Lao Tzu, and Tao. I really see the essence of humility being put to work. Not only did Lao Tzu teach of the humility of Tao, he was also an extremely humble man. He was asked to write down his knowledge. And after agreeing and finishing the extremely humble Tao Te Ching, he left. He left never to formally teach his philosophy, nor take credit for it. That my friends, is humility.
In in an answer to your question. No. I believe if god was god, worship would not be needed, nor be desired.

Well, in the last episode of the recent Dr Who series, the Emperor Dalek clones new Daleks from recycled humans, and they are genetically made to worship the Emperor Dalek as God. In this far out scene, there are thousands of them looking at their Emperor and screaming 'worship him. worship god', really surreal. Maybe if God was existed and was as like minded as the Emperor Dalek. Ian |
