In your opinion what is false religion?

Everything is false which assigns a truth value to that which cannot be shown to be true, even if it is in fact true in a given instance. Accidental truths are no guide at all.

If it's false, it may be many things but, it's not a religion and it's not wrong.
There is no wrong way to enlightenment and one-ness with God! There are as many paths as there are egos advancing sptritually. That pretty much includes everyone!!, whether they're thinking along those lines yet or not, it doesn't exclude anyone.

I don't think that any religion is "false", as such. If it teaches a set of beliefs to be followed and proposes the existence of a god/heirarchy of gods, and that it's necessary (or preferable for the sake of one's soul) to follow the instructions of the particular god/gods, then i think that it is by definition a religion.
However, i feel that any religion which teaches that we are somehow fallen, or sinful, or worthless; is teaching false beliefs and committing a crime against it's god/gods. Peace, Love, & Light

I agree with Aged Hippy! If it exists it's not false. A religion can have its own beleif system. However, I believe there is inacurate spiritual teaching. But again, if the teaching of any religion is helping that person following it and not harming someone else then it is a legitimate path.

) with this, Rev Kathy, the way i see it is that if a belief or a religion teaches that we are fallen, sinful, or worthless; it is giving it's adherents a false (devalued) sense of their own worth, which i think is damaging to their psyche. It is causing them harm.In the ego's struggle to deny this sinfulness/worthlessness it will project this state onto other people - in order to boost it's own (perceived) value. ![]() p.s. I just love that avatar.... ![]() Peace, Love, & Light

I am with Don and aged hippy. To me false means wrong, but there is no wrong if it leads (eventually) to right. I believe all paths lead to oneness sooner or later.
Religion meets people where they are at in understand, it is not just divine but perfect. Religion serves a purpose until each individual recognizes it no longer serves a purpose for them, and yet it served a very vital purpose in becoming aware of this realization. It's all good!
