There existence is implied
Genesis 4:22, if Tubal Cain was the "instructor of every worker in bronze and iron" then, prior to his time (seventh generation from Cain), everyone must have used stone tools....therefore they were what we call "cavemen."
That's if you are one who insists that the Bible is the only truth. (Actually, I'm always amazed how many Biblical Fundamentalists can't figure out the fairly evident meaning of Biblical passages.)
