Evenin' all
"Would an identical copy of you be you?" - no, i don't see how it could be, "i" consist of not only a body, but also my memories and experiences.
"Is there more to a person than their physical makeup?" - yes, their memories and experiences. "Does how you came into being effect your makeup?" - i don't think that how you come into being affects your make-up at all, unless there are problems with the delivery, etc. "Would you want to have a clone of you?" - what for? To take bits from when bits fall off this body? I don't think that's at all ethical. It was scary enough when i once saw a photograph of a man who looked exactly like me, he even trimmed his beard in precisely the same style, which - until then - i'd never seen on anyone else. It was a really odd feeling -- looking at myself in a police uniform. ![]() Peace, Love, & Light

Where did you see this "copy" of you? That is too funny. People tell me that I look like someone they know, but I myself have not seen anyone that looks like me.
Would an identical copy of you be you? No, every being is it's own expression Is there more to a person than their physical makeup? There is more to being than a "person". Does how you came into being effect your makeup? Can we come into "being"? What were we prior to "being"? I don't get this question : ) Would you want to have a clone of you? A clone could be scary, but a twin would be cool.

Clone away!
I have no idea as to why people get so upset about this issue. All a "clone" is is a twin, for Pete's sake! It's a being or, in the case of current scientific research, an arm, ear, heart, liver, etc which has the same DNA as YOUR arm, ear, heart, or liver. That's all! People seem to think that an army of androids will be created to take over the world or something. It's ridiculous!
