Question Are Scientists Playing God?

Does stem cell research and cloning mean that scientists are playing Go?

"Does stem cell research and cloning mean that scientists are playing God ?"
-------

No , not at all and they are trying to make life live longer and they are trying to replace bad organs with new ones etc .

Surely it looks like Man heading towards a 'goal' and it surely is .There is a sort of 'fine line' between where Man will progress to and where Man will reach a final goal .
Even though we live in a finite state meaning our bodies die but we are in an infinite reality with no goal because if there was a goal in infinity then that would mean infinity is not never-ending so the goals of Man in this research can only reach a goal as in finite yet it is happening in an infinite environment.

This means that Man playing God would mean that Man's goal is God and in that respect yes they are playing God . In the actual reality Man is innocently unaware that they are on a self-destruct mission and it is God and some people who are keeping advanced science at a slow pace of advancement and actually keeping the science discovery revolution to not be , and God is keeping Man at the pace they are today unabling Man to reach the goal they are on with this cloning etc .

Hi mooomooo

Nice to see you back lol.

mooomooo said , "Even though we live in a finite state meaning our bodies die but we are in an infinite reality with no goal because if there was a goal in infinity then that would mean infinity is not never-ending ."

my reply to mooomooo,,,

That means perhaps , that since in reality Man can have no goal , in the whole picture of infinity , Man cannot have a goal and since death is reaching a goal , then death itself cannot be the end because we live in an infinite realm which means it cannot have an end, such as death .

See everyone ,, there is life after death . although not in those words alone but death is not possible in an infinite world , in the whole picture.

So there is something else and death is not as it seems .

Be nice Hippy, her spill chucker is broke!

"Are scientists playing God?" No, they are God!! We are ALL GOD!!! We are ONE in GOD!!!! God manifests through each and every one of us in every way, unless we act on free will. Even then, especially then perhaps, our free will choice is a self imposed directive to avoid a forseen event judged to be detrimental to our forward progress.

From a purely esoteric perspective there is no wrong. Beleive me, I know exactly how hard it is to grasp that Truth. I've lived it for most of my life. I know too, that my experience and assertions are not going to change the way you believe, they aren't meant to. You believe the way you do because that is exactly what you're supposed to be doing and no one can change that but you.

By the very same token, please accept that I believe Doctors, care-givers, scientists, lab techs, cutting edge researchers, surgeons, health specialists of every ilk (just like so many other explorers of possibilities) are being divinely guided toward advances, outcomes and solutions that will benefit the good all mankind.

I believe we have always had the ability to play GOD all along, maybe we are just growing into our heritage.

In Judaism, the belief is that we are "co-creators" with god so, in a sense, we are playing "god".

Let me make a point about stem-cell research if I may. Much has been said that using embryonic stem-cells is tantamount to murder. First of all, we have to remember that "murder" is a legal term that is defined by the laws of society, whereas the word "killing" is not.

The embryonic stems cells have all come from fertility clinics, and these were the fertilized eggs that were not implanted. So what happens to these embryos that are not used? They end up in the garbage. To me, that's a big waste of something that might lead to certain medical breakthroughs that could help a great many people.

Shalom,
Vern

Question

WARNING GRAPHIC WORDS IN THIS MAY OFFEND

Hi everybody

Stem cell research , spaceships , computers , hydro , TV and so on and so on . These 'inventions' or discoveries have occured in the past two or so hundred years .
I was born in 1952 the year of 'colour television' and just 70 or so years before l was born George Custer and his seventh Calvery died at the Battle of the Little Big Horn . Only 70 years before l was born .

As Custer wanted to be the next USA President he took his 250 or so men to the area of the Little Big Horn and Custer had Native Scouts such as Crow and Chippewa to guide him and his army to Sioux territory where he once promised Chief's Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse that he and his army would leave them alone .
But on that morning Custer paraded into a Sioux camp and started killing . Custer didn't know that he was set up and pulled into a trap and soon he and his 250 men were surrounded by almost 5000 Sioux , Cheyene Warriors who most did only have bow and arrow .
The Natives beheaded and tortured Custer's soldiers by splitting them open with knife while they lay there injured and the Natives cut off their testicles and put them in the soldier's mouths .
The Soldiers were on the run for their lives and the Natives were on a glorius killing extravaganza . Custer's Soldiers ran for their lives and as they ran they could see their buddy Soldiers being tortured alive in most horror of fashion and sometimes a group of running soldiers would shoot each other rather than die by the way of the Indian Warrior .

After all the Soldiers lay dead they were scalped and their stuff taken by the Native Children as the women carried their dead and wounded Warriors away.
" Custer's Last Stand" they call it and l can see and feel the horror those Soldiers faced as one by one they died at the battle of the Little Big Horn .
I also though feel the wrath that Crazy Horse had for Custer and his "White Man" Lies and the innocent slaughter facing them from Custer's Seventh Calvery .

Anyway my point is that this was only 70 years before l was born and today the whole Country USA is buildings and advancement whatever but just around the corner it was all grass and Natives in tents and no hydro no phone and no nothing but horses etc and look at it now all cities and only in a matter of 50 or so years we went from Christopher Columbus 's America to the prosperous populated and skyscrapers and all of seen today .

How can this be ?

Mooomooo, I've been at the Little Big Horn near the Crow reservation in eastern Montana (one of my son-in-laws grew up in Billings, and we spent some time there) as well as the Custer museum located in Monroe, Michigan. What happened to Custer and his men was unfortunate in that I hate to see anyone die. However, there's certain issues with Custer maybe you should be aware of.

He felt that one more victory against the Indians could catapult him into the White House, and he may well have been right. What had been occurring was not only the take-over of Indian lands, but also actually genocide against them perpetrated by our own government and military, and Custer was very much a part of this.

For reading, let me suggest "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee", or you might want to look up specific massacres such as that which took place at Sand Creek.

Shalom,
Vern

Hi Vern

The Lakota Indians built Mount Rushmore with the engineering whatever from the USA goverment . I am not clear on this yet but the USA may have broke Treaty with the Lakota Nation .

Apparently the Lakota hold claim to Mount Rushmore however the USA paid or put into account a bank deposit of around 1 million dollars for Mount Rushmore and USA holds claim to Mount Rushmore , but the Lakota Natives never agreed to that and they never touched or used the million dollars and still claim thet they own Mount Rusmore and not just because they chiselled it out but it is sacred Holy Lakota ground.

The accouunt in the Bank today , which still belongs to the Lakota is around 3 billion dollars now .
The Lakota still refuse to acknowledge or accept the money as by doing so they will break the Great Lakota Nation Heritage .
