What is "the word"?

John 1:1
In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

The word, surely is not "a word" as we understand words, but something that is universal in all languages. It could be an Idea, Love, Consciousness, Oneness, Will, Law or Perfection. I think it would be fun to see how each of our beliefs reflect the word:

I'll start:

In the beginning was pure being, and pure being was with God, and pure being was God.

Hi vivamis123 .

you vivamis123 stated,,,

" The word, surely is not "a word" as we understand words, but something that is universal in all languages. It could be an Idea, Love, Consciousness, Oneness, Will, Law or Perfection. I think it would be fun to see how each of our beliefs reflect the word: "
-----

Assuming God is Pure or Perfect and we wanted to communicate with God to prove to ourself that God is in fact real we would need to find where God is to be able to reach Him .
It seems Man lives in a non- Perfect world or reality and we want to communicate with our Creator or God who is in a Perfect reality .
It almost seems as if it were two energies or even two live wires and when put together a nexus of 'Perfect' and 'non-Perfect' combine which is not supposed to happen that way , but because of another 'energy' factor this does occur but the dynamics and comprehention of it is not known today collectively by Man .

Vivamis123 , Thinking in a "Pure" concept kind of way we may find God in our thoughts because all transmissions into us individually are collected sort of and presented to us in either thought picture presentation or words but our mind sees what we want to see and our body takes that input and we turn it into 'instant thought' and then we reply by thinking and then the thought turns to a word or words and then we take that thought and turn it into verbal words .
For example ; Someone says 'hi there' to you . Those words you hear and your body takes those words as they are coming in to the frontal lobe of your brain and then transported via neural pathways to your memory center of your brain the hippocampus and para hippocampus .
You now want to reply and your body will instantly go to the memory center and take out a thought and transport it to your " transportation of thought " process . In that transition you are now looking in your mind or thoughts of the words you will reply which is " hi" and your thought from the memory center transitions into 'thought picture' and then 'sound' as you verbalised the thought" hi" into sound .
This sound you did reply, " hi" , is on a mission to reach the person it has selected as the target which you assume is the person standing next to you who first said "hi there" . Your reply did go to that person and it layed dormant there .
However , suppose you drove into a tree in your car , because of whatever reason . You get out and you kick the car and you yell in anger " l hate you" .
A little boy who is running home as he is late and afraid of 'getting in trouble' hears the words " l hate you " and it on top of his already afraid status is implanted into his memory center .
The man who said "l hate you" went through the whole " transportation of thought" system however the target was the 'car' perhaps as the man kicked the car as he swore .
But actually the target was , for example,, was a girl not even born yet and his words "l hate you" will reach her in twenty years through that boy and his behaviour .
An energy has 'hijacked' his Human behaviour waiting for that one moment when the "Perfect" energy connects with the non-Perfect energy and at that nexus twenty years from then, the new energy from those two energies in nexus will occur and not the man nor the boy nor any of the people along the way of this hijacking energy's route will be aware of it .

Love2

There is more .

To locate where God is for you, you must go into your thoughts and calm them and take all the thoughts in the 'transportation of thought' system and place them in the various parts of your memory whatever lol .

Seriously God is in your head honest .
In a state of calmness you can get to where God is , in time .

For example ; let us backtrack a word from our mouth and the word is 'crazy'. That word was said to a friend and it hurt the friend's feelings .
Now going backwards we see the word in verbal sound form. Then it comes from word in picture form , in our head , and then going backwards it came from the beginning of our thought process which includes all of the higher brain functions .
But prior to the thought process is an area where God can be found , It is pre-thought and has not yet entered the "transportation of thought" system .
All our thought at their point of origin start with God in our pre -thought and then are changed and the targets are changed and all just an instant after pre-thought .
This means when we have a thought it originated in our pure pre-thought where God is but it was changed along the way and went from pre -thought to thought where it gets hijacked , if l may say it that way .

To get into a state of pre-thought it takes a certain knowledge of some fine qualities of life some are fortunate enough to get . It sort of takes a way of living , where before you even think , and where where God is of course , you try to keep the transition of thought process to stay at the point of origin or where God is and try to not let it get 'hijacked' in it's process of going from pre-thought where God is to the actual words presented when you send that hijacked pre -thought out to it's target .

Also , once you have sent words to a target it can get hijacked again but this time from a living energy that isn't supposed to be here .

Good point, I can follow you (to my surprise LOL) Could "thought" itself be the cause of suffering? Is that what some (please note some) call "Satan"?

Book2

"Good point, I can follow you (to my surprise LOL) Could "thought" itself be the cause of suffering? Is that what some (please note some) call "Satan"? "
---------------------

Yes you could say that Satan intercepts our origin of thought , which is God , and either deters or changes the thought from it's pure and wonderful status , which each and everyone of us beholds , to a new Target and new meaning . Most do not know of this that our thoughts are being manipulated once they leave their point of origin and in a sense you might say that it shows the power of Satan as Satan changes our very thoughts and we don't even know it .

But there is a bigger threat than Satan and God and Satan know of it and even as evil as Satan can be Satan knows that he will be destroyed also if he messes with it so Satan stays away from this other thing that is hijacking our thoughts and even though Satan hijacks too, and a big threat , there is even a bigger threat and in a sense you might almost say God and Satan are working together on this one , to keep us all alive .

As I've come to understand it, pure being is a quality of vibration. Within this quality is complete "meaning."

Complete meaning vibrates as "word"

------------------------

The pure quality thing you speak of is assumed as God , and as in infinity words may not be the best way for God to communicate .
Since God may be in the pre-thought realms of reality words are not from God , but they can be with work , concentration , devotion and many other contributing factors which will bring you and God in communication.
Assuming God is in pre-thought and you wanted to sense or whatever, the glory of God you would start by taking it very seriously .
You would become aware of things that help you calm and lead you to your goal .
For example , It takes approximately 20 seconds for our blood to 'go around' once. It takes approximately 5 minutes for our blood to circulate through our kidneys once and we breathe about 20 breaths a minute .So you lay down comfy style and you count your breaths without thinking of anything. Many thoughts will disrupt you and you will have to re-start over and over again . The first interupting thought while you are counting your breaths will happen at about the third breath .
When you can get to 100 breaths without any thought interuption you have the calm sensation of the no thought process and the knowledge that your blood has cleansed itself once and this is soothing .
However , at that stage when you are in no thought you can feel and find God because God is there also and waiting for you .

Nick, the only problem I have with vibration is that vibration to me means "movement" and change. I don't believe God moves or changes...ever. Maybe I have a wrong concept or idea of the word vibration!?!?

Understanding the significant of the "Word" in the beginning.

Here's how you reconcile the Story of the "Word" in the beginning BEFORE God created the heaven and the earth, ref. Gen. 1:1. Based strickly on the Scripture that are in harmony together.

In the beginning was the Word (Light), and the Word was with God (Father), and the Word was God (Son). John 1:1

The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. Proverbs 8:22

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2

The same was in the beginning with God. John 1:2

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. Proverbs 8:23

And God said, LET THERE BE LIGHT: and there was light. Genesis 1:3

Note: The first WORD spoken by God as recorded in the Scripture.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3

When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Proverbs 8:24

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:4

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:4

Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: Proverbs 8:25

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:5.

IOW, the above text is documenting us How the Son of God was brought forth into this physical world from the invisible realm of the Father (John 1:1; Gen. 1:3) – BEFORE anything is made that was made in the beginning.

The brightness of the glory of the Son provided light in the beginning when God said "Let ther be light" -- the first spoken "Word" in the Scripture
.

God Bless
