I was listening to a PBS special with Wayne Dyer this morning. Something that resonated with me was his comment on synchronicity (Jung's term for meaningful coincidence). He said that as we become increasingly focused on "God Realization" (his term for recognizing ourselves as spiritual beings), we will notice an increase in synchronisitic events in our lives. I think he's right. What do you think?

Is meaningful coincidence proof of a Higher Consciousness or Unity of which we're all a part, or do you think it's just chance, a product of random events?

There is something to that and more . There are different kinds l see . Sometimes l will be in thought while watching TV and then just randomly say the word for example ; l am sad watching TV thinking the words i am sad . I then without planning it , say it out loud , "I am sad" but l only think the first two words and l only say out loud the word "sad" and then at that same moment the TV ,whatever is on , says the same word which in this case is the word "sad " .

It happens so much in my daily life l have written down the words as they happen and they do make a sentence . And l have a theory on it and it is absurdly amazing .

The other way is ,as you stated , ,,,example;;when perhaps you are thinking of someone on this great Site so you come to it and there is that person posting to you , and there are millions of different examples of this sinc thing .

hi mooomooo you're probably right about there being millions of ways we can have synchronicity in our lives. I'm willing to bet it happens alot more often than we realize. It's like everything is interconnected and "available" if we're open to it. Your experience with the TV is a perfect example.

Hipothetically , after watching 'you' watch TV every single time 'you' watch TV at home your dog has learned the sound sequence patterns coming from the TV .

Your dog has the sounds from the TV in a self -developed awarenes developed into a sort of catelog of sound- patterns and their sequence one sound after another leading to a destination or goal which your dog has defined into a way to know way ahead of the sequence of sounds coming from the TV to where they will end or pause or whatever but your dog knows way ahead what sound will be coming from the TV by hearing the sounds way early before they reached ,in their sequence pattern , the final last sound in that sequence .

Your dog has also defined your very own sequences of sounds and motion and thought by watching you literally all his life .
Your dog knows what thought in word form you will be thinking way ahead before you think it by knowing how you reply by your perepheral body movement language and your corresponding verbal release or a word you say out loud.
such as , you say ,"that's discusting' , when you see a war horror reality explained on TV for example , and your dog knows instantly the sound coming from you and the corresponding sound from the TV which led you to your verbal sound .
However immediately prior to you saying those words you thought them or saw them in your thought and then they transitioned into your verbal saying of the words out loud .

So when you are watching TV and suddenly you think a word and then say that word and suddenly the TV says the exact word or words simultaniously or in the same instant you say it , you become aware that you and the TV said the same word at the same time .

Some call it sync thing whatever lol .

However , the word that you stated at the same time the TV stated was a direct defined and rapid plan by your dog to sync you and the TV through the dog's advanced knowledge of how to do this .

You always go to the River to meditate and watch the wild life etc and ofcourse your dog loves this and is with you every single time you go there which is a lot .

You decide to chart the words that you say and the TV say at the same time and whenever it happens you write the word down and soon the first word is "down" and then "by" and then "the " and finally "river" .
You look at it and realise that your dog sent you those words to tell you to take him down to the river .
Your dog has 'cateloged' all your sounds in their sequences of sound after sound every time you go to the river and has them in his brain catelog and can bring out those sounds in you by placing them in your thought when ,
by chance , your dog while hearing the TV present a sound in sequence of sounds that correspond with the sounds you made in sequence at the river .

Your dog then does something in his behaviour unaware to you such as scratch or whatever but he knows that his next behaviour will cause you to have a thought which will rapidlly turn to verbal sound by you and that sound will be in sync with the TV sound as words and the words are from the dog doing his thing by the TV crystal mechanics of light sound interpretation whatever and you and him have a new meaning to sound manipulation whatever , for communication from dog to Man .

You had noticed also that when the word -sync happens you are always in a sincere thought and then you realise that every time it happens , three , four, five times a day and sometimes more ,your dog is always with you and makes instant eye contact with you as you kind of are alerted when you and the TV sync in word or words and you just by chance each time it happens you look right at your dog who is looking right back at you but not by chance.

You realise how to let your dog talk to you this way at will and a communication of unknown of and unheard of porportions is defined as real .



EDIT: PERSONALLY I BELIEVE I AM THE VERY FIRST PERSON TO DISCOVER THIS . IT WAS ME AND MY DOG MOOSKEE WHO RECENTLY PASSED AWAY FROM A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK . MY DOG MOOSKEE AND ME COMMUNICATED THIS WAY AND I KNOW HOW HARD THIS IS TO BELIEVE AND EVEN COMPREHEND BUT HEY , I PUT IT OUT THERE FOR YOU HERE AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT WORKS, IS REAL AND IS ANIMAL TO HUMAN COMMUNICATION OF THE "FUTURE".

I think he's wrong, so take that!

Actually I have no opinion on the matter since I'm not sure there's any way of telling with any assurance of being right. So I'll continue to straddle the fence even though it gets a bit painful in the crotch.

I want to say...I have no clue, but....LOL there is always this but....

I can speak from experience that this happened to me too, but.... LOL I don't think it is proof in an existence of a higher power of God, as most people think of God.

To me it proves how powerful we are. In the process of realization we come to see (with our physical eyes) how we are connected to everything and create the world around us.

As I recall one definition of synchronicity is matter meeting spirit. In other words whatever is happening within you attracts an outer occurrence.

I've had examples of synchronicity in that teachers show up in my life at needed times. There was a period of time when I was bombarded with everything "snow leopard." Snow leopards showed up in books, in crossword puzzles, on the radio, on TV, etc. It happened in a time of my life when I was very dependent on another person, a teacher type. I didn't make the connection then, but I think it had to do with independence. Felines are very independent. I did finally make the break from this person. Once in a while I still get a snow leopard appearance and it reminds me to let go.

I agree that it probably happens more than we realize. I don't think it proves God, but does indicate how connected we are to a universal type of energy.

When l was younger lol no actually when l was older lol , nevermind .

Once lol my mother went to Las Vegas and she brought me home this ashtray -roulette wheel thing and it was an ashtray but it had this button and when you pressed it it spun this wheel with numbers on it, and this little ball spins around and around and stops at a number .

Every time l did it the ball stopped on number 18 ,, evertime .

My friends tried it and it always stopped as it should on random numbers but when l did it it always was 18.

This began to frighten me and when l would come home l would walk into my apartment and push that stupid button ashtray and then later look at it and it was always 18 .

I felt there was a meaning to it and it did frighten me beacuse it only was consistantly 18 , for me only .

After about a year of that it finally broke and l never did know what that was about but it really did happen .

Well, I had a dream a few years ago that I ate this giant marshmallow, and when I got up, my pillow was missing. Is that synchronicity?

No, Metis that's a case of supressed hunger. LOL
