'' (a quick slice across the neck cutting the carotid artery whereas the animal would lose consciousness in about 1/2 a second we are told). Then the animal was drained of as much blood as possible and the blood ,,,''

We kill and eat them ,, and assume they are keeping us healthy and alive. In the extended Truth this is true but in the Truth Man is living today it is wrong , however ''it has to be this way'' making it right . It is difficult to comprehend . |

The Jesus thing a sarcifice? Not at all. If he existed, and if the Church approved Gospels are correct, he had a not too pleasurable day, but he's supposed to be still alive.
A dead animal will be as dead as me when I die. No problem. Quote:
Kosher killing is outlawed in Sweden, because of our laws on animal cruelty. I's not like the animal in question is just standing there awaiting the cut; it has to be forcibly brought on its back etc. OTOH, Muslim communities have reached an agreement with authorities on how to perform Halal butchering in a way that's acceptable to all concerned parties. |

The process whereas the animal is lifted and turned upside down is a technique that is even controversial in Jewish circles. Some kosher slaughterhouses do this so they can sell their meat in Israel whereas this process is the only one that hasidic ("ultra-orthodox") Jews recognize. The reason is that the process of draining the blood starts immediately if the animal is inverted, and the draining of blood is required by halacha (Jewish Law). However, the process of inversion is not a requirement in Jewish Law by all other Jewish groups including the Orthodox. There's one kosher slaughterhouse that uses that same process here in the States and that's found in Iowa, and it has been the source of much controversy. When I learned what they were doing, I would not buy meat from them, which sell under certain brand names (Aaron's Best is one). There's finally been a compromise there, but I'm still not comfortable with even that, and it is one reason why I am now vegetarian. BTW, my mother's side of the family is from Sweden (Skanee) and my place in Michigan's Upper, where I am now, has a great many Swedes. Matter of fact, my grandmother moved from Skanee, Sweden, to Skanee, Michigan. My folks have visited the original homestead in Sweden, but I haven't made it there yet. And the way prices are going, I am having more and more doubts I'll be able to make it on my fixed income.
