"A hard choice, yes, but you cannot make an omelette without breaking a few eggs."

Are not the few eggs being broken the ones that are to be saved from slavery?
Let's punish the slaves for being enslaved, it is after all thier fault.
Cracking eggs to make omlets is a misplaced and callouse sacrifice of the few for the many, it used to be religiouse, now it's political. Same scenario, different spin.

Being as the burkha is the main point of contention re assimilation into French culture, and the dominent males in Islamic culture dictate how the females should dress, why has it not been suggested that the solution be directed to the males. Could it be because the males with thier education, and jobs directly contribute to French enterprises and economy and the females with little or no education and no means of self support do not?

The solution is simple, and of the same value as that they wish from the females......before a male can be given citizenship he must swear that he will not promote, nor support, nor encourage the wearing of the burkha.

If a dumb hayseed can think of that why not members of the French government?

Great idea.

I believe women have the right to completely cover their bodies or be completely nude. We should stop the enslavement of women and allow them to be nude!
