A Trivia question in Sunday School :
I got this in my e-mail today...thought i would toss it out here in the forum...going to look for a bible to see what is said....and curious to what the rest here have to say...
is this yet more paranoia ...... This will make you re-think : A Trivia question in Sunday School : How long is the beast allowed to have authority inRevelations ? Guess the Answer? Revelations Chapter 13 tells us it is 42 months, and you know what that is. Almost a four-year term to a Presidency. All I can say is Lord Have Mercy on us.!!!!!! According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is: The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal....the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything .. |

I knew there was a bible around here some where and there was...but...it did me no good..and i seen nothing of the muslim mention...
shaw-n...i tend to have your attitude of the attention given it will cause things to seem as such... but thought it was good to put out there for once again it is yet another scare tactic and threat and guilt producing statements that i think that clear thinking..(is there such thing) person would have to feel it with in every bit of there being this is not a way to rear a child...and it is said we are all Gods children...I like the people that are taking the bible apart piece by piece and showing how nutty it is to even think for a moment that some of what we think it means would make any sense |

Any anti-Christ will have to encourage sleep rather than awakening so will have to be capable of the following flattery:

About the only thing that email got right was the length of time. The king James version does not mention the age of the anti christ not does it mention muslim.
What this seems like to me is preying on the suspicious with a well watered rumor that one of the presidential candidates is a muslim. i was even sent a an unclear fuzzy picture of said person in supposed muslim dress tho it seemed very much like the dress of the kwanza celebration. |

I think it probable that the book was written as political commentary and that the Beast is a now long-gone historical figure such as Nero. |

I second that motion simply because the reference must have been someone who was familiar to the author and the readers, otherwise it would make little sense. Even the reference to "666" is stated as to being known to those who are wise.
