Joseph Campbell: Not the kind of Christian we know. Perhaps some of the monks and nuns who are really in touch with spiritual mysteries would be of the sort that Jesus was.

Jesus was not a Christian. He was Christ. The word "Christian" means "little 'Christ'" or follower of Christ. Christ was the Nabi and the Rasul for Christianity. He did not follow Himself, after all.

To my belief Jesus did come back but not as aq Christian, a muslim, a Babi or a Baha`i, but rather as the founders of those religions - as the Nabi and Rasul of Islam, as the Nabi and Rasul of the Babi Faith, as the Nabi and Rasul of the Baha`i Faith - same Spirit, different flesh. But He was never the follower, always the leader.

Jesus was a Jew/ He was the King of Jews. He rewrote the laws of Moses. So those who follow the laws of Jesus Christ are "Christians". Most Christians I've met dont understand this and qoute Jesus and Moses who contradicted eachother. (If I have to I'll look it up) Jesus was, what he was and it's up to you if you have faith.

The question was not about what christians are, or what Jesus "was". It is about what he will be.

Absolutely he would not be a Christian either by beliefs or the use of that non-Judaic word of Greek origin. He would clearly be a Jew, and likely one of religious training and education. He possibly was an Essene or some other sect of Jewish Mystics of that error. I don't think that he was in any way a Hellenised Jew like Paul. Whether or not he was a pharisee is debatable. I favour his being an Essene if I had to choose one.

He would be a follower of God and teacher of such. He would not have promoted himself, other than as a messenger.
