Same here, but the transition for me to this position was not easy by any means. However, religious faith was always difficult for me since I kept looking for evidence and not finding any but that which is very shaky.

Another way of putting this stupid little question would be :
Could God make a gravitational field so strong that even He could not escape it?

So would that be the ultimate black hole?

Really, none of us here Know the nature of God and even the existence of said being is in dispute and we are all clumped into different factions of opinion on that matter so HOW can we even begin to answer said stupid question?????

Inhale deeply....

My honest opinion of this question is that it occurred to someone a bit philosophically-minded one night, shortly after they'd smoked some Northern Lights.

God's Riddle

I wonder if that's the wrong question. I wonder if the right question is: Can God make a puzzle so difficult, a riddle so complex, that even He can't solve it? What if that's us? ~ J. Michael Straczynski, Babylon 5

What do you think?

The earth is a pretty big rock.
God, the Universal Spirit, holds the galaxy, the solar system and the earth in Its magnetic grip.
Or - if you will
God holds the world in His Hand.
If we have not grown enough to see either avenue of approach to God -
what point would there be in doing something even more impressive.

And - by the way
Life is a puzzle and we are the solution.

I tried to have religious faith. Now I honestly think I just lack the "Belief" gene.
