The Existence of God

Quote:
God exists God's essence involves existence, and so God cannot but exist.

We know that God's essence involves existence because existence is the nature of a substance and God is a substance.

I saw this statement today? What do you think?

Its sort of a truncated argument

The ontological argument in brief, isn't it?

I think people need to stop trying to impose rational understanding on innate beliefs.

..

Hi Lightkeeper .

We all hold 'Love' , and different kinds of love . Some share their love with their mate and some with their family and friends and so on .

Our Lord holds love and is love , a duel combo , if l may say it this way . When love is held and not shared it can be seen in our behaviour and let's say , our 'behaviour' in action or application . When we connect with someone we can usually tell when and if the person is sharing their love with you ,, or not .

When our Lord shares His Love with us individually it can be seen individually and in the 'whole picture' it can also be seen but not in the same way .

Our Lord has 'us' to feel His emotions in application and when we adapt and recognize all the Love our Lord is giving us individually , it is good .

Without 'us' our Lord's love for us would cease to exist for 'us' and so our very survival is priority to our Lord .

Our Lord must keep us alive and when one of us is guided by innocent purity of intentions in our behaviour God attaches to this and allows us to see God shine in everything we do .

We are keeping our Lord alive and our Lord keeping us alive .

For our Lord to keep us alive our Lord must keep us from the 'extended truth' ,

,,, and for example our Lord uses our fine Atheist friends to help our Lord keep the truth from us and of course the Atheists are doing this in the true ' purity of intentions ' of their heart to find the truth ,, and are judged by their 'purity of intentions , and not their actions .

.

Elementary fanciful logic definitely.

But if god has substance then so do unicorns and flying spaghetti monsters.

Essence is intangible. There is no way there would substance to it.

This brings us all back to the god is real vs. god is a myth debate. One that no one will ever win unless a mass genocide occurs.

Hi Wendy Tall One

You stated ,,

''But if god has substance then so do unicorns and flying spaghetti monsters.''

Yes Wendy Tall One that is correct although no one really knows it as fact and if any one did know they are certainly avoiding the Press and News and keeping the spaghetti monster ,, ''in the closet''.

But yes you are correct and if God is real then so can a ''stuffy'' fly across your bedroom , right in front of your face .

If God is Life, Why do we think we have to die to see if there is a God

That appears to me to oppose God - Should God exist

Where has this link come from - Death and God ?

Hi Asimov .

Is existence a 'living' behaviour sequence travelling through time via , and , using us ?
