I think the Bible is like a big rorschach test where a lot can be undestood about a person from the way they interprete the Bible. You seem to emphasize love. Good for you.

I believe you.
On a side note, I think we non-theists need to do everything we can to insure that our world views don't exclude the need for compassion in our lives. Sometimes we may get so wrapped up in intellectual discussions about whether or not there is a god that we need to make an effort to remind ourselves that we still need love, fellowship with others who can support us and structure in our lives even though we don't see god in the world. I find support and structure in my Buddhist sangha and in my Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Both support leading compassionate lives without the requirement of belief in a supernatural Being.
