Have any of you seen the film The Secret? Have you noticed that in the end credits it shows that the film was produced by The Council of Nine?

There are rumors in certain Satanic circles that the Council of Nine is a clandestine Satanic organization which is promoting idividual thought, self-centricity, and the power to make your life what you want it to be.

If these rumors are true, does the fact that Satanists may be behind the film change your opinion of their motives?

I found the secret a facinating movie, no matter who produced it. Why? Should it matter?

Not that it really matters because I love the movie, but I was curious so I sent in an email...for those of you that are interested this is the response I received..I was asking them about The Council of Nine in connection with the Secret....

Dear Kathleen,

I have never heard of the Council of Nine but I can inform you that The
Secret was made and produced by a television production company called
Prime
Time Productions in Melbourne Australia.

No, it would not change my opinion. The motives of one other has nothing to do with what each individual will get out of The Secret. I believe the Movie the secret cam e out at in divine time : )

This question does remind me of a healing that came through for a friend of mine, because of the prayer of a satanist. You call "it" what you what Gooooood can only come from Gooooood.

Someone else has already debunked this, but I will add that there is nothing on imdb.com -- the industry source on movies -- to indicate there was any secret, satanist cabal involved in the production.

Of course, if you are part of the fringe, you may think that anything produced by the entertainment industry is satanically inspired.

The only thing I usually ask of entertainment is that it be entertaining.

That said, quite a few people (elsewhere) have commented that this seems very much like a recruitment piece for scientology; that may be a base calumny since I have't seen it. And with the reviews I have read, I'm not likely to want to go.

That's right Rev Kathy! This movie inspired me to give a class next month: "The secret to The Secret". I haven't given a class for awhile, but I see that people can have what ever they desire. I don't think the movie emphasizes enough on the moving into the feeling and looking from the desired as to looking to the desired. I will tape this class and if it turns out good maybe submit it the website you suggested or put it somewhere for others to view for free.
