String Theory

What does everybody else think about string theory?

I like the idea because it implies a high force that binds the cosmos.

Personally, I think it's complicated.

Indeed it is.

I marvel in the fact though that someday it could teach us about the very foundation that upholds the cosmos in a binding force through gravity and other properties of the cosmos.

I don't suppose you know how string theory is applied on earth do you?

I have often wondered how string theory works on earth besides being in outerspace.

String theory may never be testable, but if you are interested in a force binding the universe together, experiments have already shown that Einstein's "spooky action at a distance," which in fact does unify the cosmos, is a fact of nature.

I LOVE the mathematics involved. They force a person to think in terms they are not used to thinking. This is something I love about calculus.

Its a very elegant theory, plus I like the way it envisions reality in terms of frequency. But, if it can't be tested, it only theoretical physics. Some of the other theories are very interesting as well, such as loop quantum gravity.

It sure is. I have a master's degree in math and yet I have a lot of trouble understanding the technical details of M-theory which is the generalization and unification of the various 4 or so string theories.

One interesting prediction that comes out of it is the possibility of parallel universes.

I find it complicated but from what I understand of it I think it's interesting.
