Redbird Near Death Experience website:

I recently found a web site that is a research foundation collecting near death experiences and thought it might interest some of you:

http://www.near-death.com/index.html

There's quite a collection of experiences reported by people over some years as well...

Buddhism

Hi arthra .

This topic l may be able to shed some light on in a real sense and here is why and l swear what l say is true , I mooomooo swear on the Bible my words here in this Forum are true .

Okay , when l was 27 there was a meningitis outbreak in my hometown and l was one of seven people who caught it and had to go to Emergency .

It took them hours and two 'spinal tap's before l heard the Doctors at the foot of my Hospital bed say " should we tell him ? "

and l said " tell me what ?"

And the Doctors came up to my head and said " You have an infection in your brain and you may die . "

By now l was in such pain from the meningitis all l could think and all l could say was , " far out ".

I was placed in ICU where l was unconscious for 3 days .

Somewhere 2nd day in my unconscious state l woke uo and
I heard this voice which l recognised from a voice l had heard during one of my " out of body " things awhile back and the calm pleasant slightly female voice said and l swear this is true , the voice said ,,,

" I'm ready Lord take me now ."

I then went back into the coma and in total of three days in coma l woke up and was still alive .

The Doctors told me it was a sure miracle l survived as when l reached the Hospital Emerg my meningitis was in a very deep and dangerous stage .

The pain in my head and muscles was equal to and more than the 5 kidney stones l dealt with throughout my life and l will never forget that pain l went through before l passed out in ICU .

As l was recovering the three weeks l was in the Hospital the Doctors did tours to my bed to ask me questions on my symptoms etc .

Then l was told that all the other six children died that weekend of it and l was the only one who lived and l was told that one of the children was an eleven year old girl .

When l was told of those deaths l was devistated with hurt and l cried much as l asked God ,," Why would you let me an almost 30 year old man live and let an eleven year old girl die such a horrible and paunfull death Lord ? "

"Why take those six children and let me live ? " l asked of Him and never received an answer as far as l know .

Anyway ,it was a near death experience with the voice and everything , and that is one of my near death experiences which in the totality hurt me very much .
