State of No-Ado

Quote:
Learning consists of daily accumulating,
the practice of Tao consists of daily diminishing.
Keep on diminishing and diminishing,
Until you reach the state of No-Ado.
No-Ado, and yet nothing is left undone.
To win the world, one must renounce all.
If one still has private ends to serve,
One will never be able to win the world.

Chapter 48 - Tao Te Ching

What does this mean to you?

It means that some translator wanted to market a new translation of wu wei.

I think this one is better:

Those who interfere cannot lead the world.
Wu wei occurs three times in the third and fourth lines (counting in Beck's):
yi zhi yu wu wei.
wu wei er wu bu wei.

For Beck's and others, it must of course be borne in mind that "non-action" doesn't mean "no action", but rather "no action that goes against the Tao/Nature".

Wonderful. Well put. Mine is translated by John C.H. Wu. And I've read countless others. But I am not sure why, I love John C.H. Wu's translation, I feel it presents the mystical side of Lao Tzu that alot of other translators lack. I love your tranlation as well, who is the translator?

*edit, I see you stated the translator. My apologies.
