What I see is a humble being, standing on top of a hill/mountain, light shining before/with him, stab in his hand as if he ruled, as if he represented the law.
Is being humble maybe the "law" to being/bringing the light?

I see in this card a man standing on the highest peak, looking down.
His light shines to guide others to his level of awareness, he is pointing the way. The color of his cloak grey, shows he has balanced the black and white, he has reached the level of oneness, beyond duality. While many see the hermit as representing being alone, I see it as one who is looking for others to join him, he is lighting the way for others. The staff being the same color as the light, to me means, he uses his light, wisdom, to remain steady, to help him stay balanced, etc. ~Peace

staff and light
Man holding staff... like going on a vision quest
some kind of travel, journey, even if it is a mental one. The light holding out in front of him.. He's looking for something. He's lighting his own path . He's looking DOWN... he's looking inward, searching for something inside himself maybe, as he's also covered up. old man,,.. makes me think of wisdom. Looking inside oneself for the answers maybe .. ? dc |
