Most people are
Quote:
I have often noted that Christians seem to be more afraid of dying than other people. Very likely that has to do with that whole "after death, the Judegment" sentiment. I don't feel that way, but it is a very common feeling....and one should never laugh at the fears of others.

You are right and thank you for putting me straight. I forget sometimes that judgment is still very much part of this world and forum : )

I usually read the death card as major change. The "death" of the old, so that something new can be "born." I have had more that one person freak out over the appearance of this card, only to be laughing at themselves after I explain what I think of it and how it relates to other cards in the reading. It is quite amusing actually.

change, and even death to in fact. Like when my dad died, my whole life changed. Death causes change. However, the death card doesn't always mean death, either. So your right about that Rev. Kelly. I can mean radical change.
I read my little sister's tarot cards to her back in 2000, more than once and the Death Card seemed to love coming up on her, she of course thought it meant total bad luck because of her job and the way her life was at the time, she's spent the last years since she was 18 til now when she 29 working at an escort service, and has now had a baby and her mothering instinct has kicked in and she is makeing a whole lot of radical changes in her life. She was my dad's baby so she took it very hard as well when our dad died in 2005. ![]()

What the symbols in this card say to me are:
Death is really Change. Change comes to all Old/young, wise/innocent, healthy/sick, etc. Each person will have their own way of dealing with change. Some face it, some turn away, some plead, some laydown and give up. There is no way to stop change, change is moving forward, change is about bringing balance , change can not be stopped. The blues and yellow in the card, to me say this card is a very positive card.
