Man of Painting

The man of painting comes to us from the William Blake Tarot. This card represents the idea of getting things done in a practical way. Using logic to create a colorful and personal goal or idea.

One matter to note here is that the William Blake tarot is not a true tarot, but rather a set of oracle cards. Tarot cards are divided into 2 sections major and minor arcana, with the minor arcana divided into 4 suits (our modern playing cards). While the Blake tarot is set up like that to some degree, it does not line up with the traditional tarot set up. Even so, this is an interesting a beautiful deck. One that I enjoy using.

i think i need a blown up pic of this...that being said..what i see...and i know nothing ...nothinggggggg...of tarot cards..so just looking at this card ...i see ocean waves and what appears to be a naked man who is in good shape and rain falling and the sun shining through the rain...the rain is refreshing and reminding of peaceful state...the light always brings about the peace..because the water below seems to be ocean waves and not some calm lake or pond ...i am guessing they say there is yet turmoil /confusion....to deal with...

I just finished painting a naked man. I know it's just coincedence (another word for God LOL) but that this card shows up now....is truly natural.

So what does this mean to me? I am the creator of everything I perceive.

It is OK that you know nothing about them; one of the joys of learning. And you are doing a great job of looking at a card and percieving a meaning through the picture. It is a great interpretation of this card.

You are so right; we do create our own perceptions. Great Job!

When I read these for the site, I ask what do we need to know today? It is open ended so that it can be more than just what is happening here.

I do like the way you are thinking, and it can easily be applied to all of life. We need to think about what we want, and how we are going to get it.

LOL I didn't even think of the nude part. LOL No worries, wasn't thinking along those lines at all. I know that the pics on here are not easy to see, but I am unaware how or where I can post anything bigger. I am sorry.

Even in a larger picture, it is unclear what the man is holding. I think it is purposely done that way to possibly represent anything.
