Cool Preparation

Preparation

Today's Affirmation

I actively prepare a place for God in my heart and mind.

Today's Meditation

Holy One,

Many of us are in the process of making preparations and plans for the approaching holidays.
Some people are traveling to be with family and friends for Thanksgiving, baking and cooking food of every kind or getting ready to receive quests by cleaning and shopping.
We join in knowing that all of these activities are unfolding in an orderly, stress free way.
Others are preparing to "get through" another holiday.
Some are alone or do not have a place to live or food to eat.
Surround all who are lonely with Your love and peace.
Help us all reach out with a smile, a hug and an open heart.
The earliest thanksgiving celebrations were not about who could prepare the most lavish spread.
The early thanksgivings were about people who had very little, coming together from different social, economic and cultural/religious traditions, to share what they had and give thanks to You.
May we prepare the way of Love, in our hearts and in our world.
Help us to open ourselves more completely to the people around us, sharing what we have with an attitude of gratitude.
Teach us to truly care for one another.
Thank You God!

Amen
