Cool Talk with God

Talk with God

"The Scriptures tell us that 'There is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty giveth him understanding' (Job 32:8). The only way you are going to know this Spirit is to act as though you believe It is there. Talk to It. Talk to It in Truth, talk to It in Love, talk to It in Light. Once you get in the habit of talking to Spirit, you will find that not only is It a good listener but that It answers you and does indeed make you understand."
~Barbara L. King

Today's Affirmation
I talk to God and God answers me.

Today's Meditation

Dear God,

I remember the first time I heard someone say that You spoke to them.
I thought, "Oh, Really? And what does God sound like, Louis Armstrong?"
I secretly wondered why You didn't talk to me.
At that time I had never been still enough for long enough to hear Your voice;
And I had no idea what to listen for.
I have learned that You often speak in the silence of my heart, in a voice I recognize by its vibration--sweet, calm and serene.
You also speak in the words of a song or the rustle of the wind through leaves.
I hear Your voice in the laughter of children at play and in the sound of waves on a beach.
Sometimes Your voice is loud and commanding, like the rush of a river through a canyon.
Other times You are barely audible, like the beating of my own heart.
I am aware of Your communication when I choose to notice.
It is my intention to listen carefully and deliberately.
Speak to me Lord, I am listening with my entire being.
I hear You calling me into a deeper relationship,
I hear You calling me into Love.
Your voice is sweet and Your presence is peace.
Thank You for speaking to me.

Amen
