Today is Imbolc, a Wiccan holiday that celebrates Winter and prepares for Spring. Many holidays are seasonally based. It is a festival of light, fire, warmth. It has other names as well, Candlemas and Brigid's Day. Candles or course represent the lights and fire. Brigid is a Celtic Goddess of fire and inspiration. I've very excited about this Imbolc because it will be the first year I don't celebrate solitary. Holidays are a time for friends and so I shall be going out with a dear friend of mine who is also Wiccan. We're going to celebrate by doing a simple charm/spell/prayer to welcome Brigid. Then the festivities begin!

I wish everyone love and joy on this special day. Not only is it a Holiday for me but it's another day in this beautiful world with you. That is certainly a reason for joy. ^_^
