Samhain

What kinds of practices and rituals do those that visit here follow for this Sabbath aka Halloween?

I do a yearly horoscope for the upcoming year. And the day after I set up a small alter for my father and celebrate Dios de los Muertes.

Oh sorry about that lack of info. Late night post and all. For Day of the Dead you set up an altar for a loved one who has passed away. He died when I was 11. I set up a photo of him and I, some marigolds (to help the souls cross over) a cream soda and donuts (his favorite) a white candle and a white rose (his symbol he picked for his funeral to represent me). I play music and generally just be happy around him and talk with him etc.

Ok, The setting up an altar to remember those past I knew about, I just thought it was for those that had passed in the last year.
However, as with all personal altars; rules are non-existent

Well I am also Hispanic and we tend to do this every year as in Mexico and in Los Angeles we have a very big festival I plan on attending. I have a small collection of the day of the dead dolls. You are supposed to buy one that represents the deceased. It's funny to see barbershop ones, or teachers etc!
