On psychic vampires?
Feeding of others energies...I must admit I have been around people that I find are somewhat draining, and yet I feel as if I have gotten energy from being with others,
I did find it all very far fetched at first but when I sat and began to think about it things did not seem so black and white

any thoughts ?

I know the kind of person you mean. I don't know if they are "psychic vampires" in the sense of what vampirism implies, or if it's simply a label we attach to people like that so that other people understand what we're saying.

See? You said "psychic vampires" and I knew immediately what you were talking about.

In any event, whether they are truly "vampires" or we just react to them as if they were, the reult is the same, isn't it? We're drained of emotions and/or energy.

The point is its forget what they are called they are so called people who feed intentionally off others energies,
There has been someone in my life who has made me feel this way not sure if it is intentional in this case but some claim to do it intentionally of course they use alias's
Not sure if its really real, or just a myth or how dangerous it really is

I don't understand exactly what they are or how they do their thing, but I do think that there is such a thing as a psychic vampire. Run into more than a few along the way.

well, I think that terminology is kinda goofy, but as for the definition, yes, they're for real.
I don't know if what they do is intentional, or simply a very negative aspect of their personality.

I also know there are people who are the exact opposite, but I haven't read anything about them-- folks whose mere presence is very calming.

They are SO very real. Nevermind the moniker, I have actually sat with mentors of mine to dedvelop ways to build barriers so as not to become so drained...especially seeing as I worked retail for a long period of time, all that psychic energy coming and going really does 'drain the life out of you'

Hi All!

Prayer to your higher power will always protect you from such people.

Our strength lies in our faith in our Higher Power. Have confidence and faith and this will never fail you. When you get that feeling in your gut that you are being attacked or drained, call upon the power of your Supreme Being for help. Especially if you verbalize it, that type of person will lose all power over you.

My prayers to RA (God) and my faith strengthen, guide and protect me daily.

I had no idea what it meant, it was the first time I had ever heard it. The person who told me this, didn't even know me nore I him really, but I thought of vampires. I did a search on yahoo and finally found out what it meant and that its considered bad. I admit to sometimes doing it and even on purpose. To people online. At first, I wanted to deny it and say that man didn't know what he was talking about and just throwing names around which he was good at doing. However, I couldn't get it off of my mind and it kept coming back to me. I thought about my past behavior, and some behavior I have been doing presently.

Although, not in my personal life where I am totally too shy to ever commit anything like this, online I am very close to being this way sometimes and have even felt and knew that the person was being drained. Of course I didn't know what they were being drained of, I just felt that maybe they were just tired. I was kinda ashamed of myself for it am still ashamed of myself for it. I watch closely now and make sure I don't fall back into this stuff, its considered a sin I just know it.

So you said something about people can do it in a good way to. I know what bad psychic vampires are in my personal life, my mom is one. But can there really be good ones? If a bad one drains you, does that mean a good one fills you up? With what?

Psychic vampires just drain energy, mostly without permission which makes it "bad" But there are those people out there that give off energy and you feel wonderful just being around them; they would be the opposite. As far as I know, there is no catchy name for them. How about that person that calms you whenever you talk with or see them? They are also the opposite of a psychic vampire. No catchy name for them either. Hope this helps.
